<description>wow! i'm going to get one. i know i dont live in china, but san diego has pollution too.
sorry i never made it up to L.A.. I guess you heard about what happened to one of our friends in san diego. I decided to stay to be with everyone.

What size mask should i get, Ines? What size do you have? It says that Large is good for "the average male", but I may be smaller than the average male.

Let me know what you think.

It was great to see you!

		<description>Nice bikes!

I'm a student in London where I ride a Fausto Coppi racing bike. I first got interested in riding fixed gear when I (perhaps foolishly) tried to race a London messenger from The Ritz Hotel to Soho. When we got to Picadilly Circus, he was able to nip in and out of the buses and taxis etc, whilst if I'd so much as tried that I'd probably have died/got my handle bars caught in a bus!

I live in France when it's not term time. Luckily enough we have a stage of the Tour de France that passes through a local village so I get the chance to train on some really amazing roads and some challenging ascents/descents.

Incidentally, I study Chinese at SOAS in London. I came across your blog when I was looking for the website of the Japanese Lounge in Soho, Beijing. I know Yoshinori-Sai who owns it and was trying to get the contact details to recommend it to a friend who lives nearby.

I'm coming to Beijing at the end of August for 10 months to study Chinese at Beijing Normal University. I was hoping to try and find a fixie in Beijing in lieu of an old 'Flying Pigeon' and hopefully meet up with other riders/bike clubs. Are Fixies easy to come by or are they really rare?

Do you think you'd be able to point me in the right direction of some places to go/people to talk to? I'd be forever grateful! You can contact me on james@studioduplo.com

		<description>Hi Chris,
In which city of China are you right now? As you say it is not so easy to get a fixed gear (mine are from USA). But there are some possibilities to get things in China.
How can I contact you?
Ciao,
Ines</description>

		<description>Hello Ines,
or guten tach... sorry, I don't speak German.
I found your page and want to know how and where you got your fixie in Beijing. I've been in China for a year and plan to stay a bit longer and I am dying to ride a fixed gear again. I haven't since I left home last year.
What can I do to join the club?
